I like the theory of relativity. Not Albert Einstein's. I don't understand it. Even though I'm sure Harald Lesch could explain to me in two minutes why energy equals mass times the speed of light squared. Or why this equation is long outdated. Everything is relative. This theory, this formula, I mean.
It starts on a private level. I apply the theory of relativity in my self-assessment as well as in my assessment of other people. One example: Recently, I got self-doubt while studying a documentary in English. Because I had problems understanding it, I had to press the stop button several times. This in turn put pressure on my ego. Is my English really that rusty? Shortly afterwards, I turned on the TV, watched a speech by the German Foreign Minister in English and immediately thought to myself "Your English isn't that bad". But Baerbock's English is also excellent if you compare it with that of Lothar Matthäus. Everything is relative. You always have to put things and people in relation to each other, establish a connection, otherwise they float detached in a vacuum. Then you see them absolutely, because nothing else means detached.
Cold coffee? Truisms? I'm not so sure. When it comes to the big issues of our time, such as climate, war and corona, there is hardly any relativization, hardly any different classifications and points of view. Any attempt to weigh things up fails because of the pseudo-argument that there is absolutely no alternative. Only no alternative is not an argument. It is a killer argument that stifles any substantive discussion. The terms Putin denier and war denier are probably being born in German propaganda hospitals right now. I now refuse to respond to such primitive attacks. I do not deny, I represent a different point of view. No more, no less. Those who justify themselves involuntarily put themselves in the dock and I don't belong there. Those who consistently use defamatory fighting words in the absence of arguments belong in the dock. There can be no two opinions? Yes, there must be. At least two. What other parallels are there with all the aforementioned issues that move the world? They are all morally charged. Opinion leaders in politics and the media divide the world into black and white, good and evil, right and wrong. Do not follow the pretended absolute truth, you are an unbeliever and will be ostracized. Then you are either a person who lacks solidarity and accepts death. Or someone who doesn't care that the world will end in ten years. Or you are a troll who is secretly paid by the KGB. In a nutshell: then you are evil and evil people should - you guessed it - not be given a forum.
Which people are given a forum? The good people. The market criers who are in possession of the loud, absolute truth. Anton Hofreiter once said "We are the good guys." He was referring to himself and his own world view. This Anton is currently touring German talk shows as the court rider of the apocalypse. After all, in his old political days he discovered the expert in geopolitics and military strategy in himself. Who else do people listen to? Ambassador Andrij Melnyk. In theory, he is a Ukrainian diplomat. Hand on heart. How many other diplomats do you know as a politically interested person? Probably hardly any, because it is the nature of a diplomat to work in the background. Rarely has an ambassador become such a celebrity with a permanent media presence. With all due respect, if Melnyk is a diplomat, lions should soon be giving lectures on vegan nutrition. We should listen to the quiet people more often. To the people who put things into perspective. They are usually the ones who search for the truth and not the ones who proclaim the truth. That's the only way to gain knowledge.
Perhaps E does not mean energy at all, but knowledge. And perhaps E = mc2 not a physical but a perfidious propaganda formula. Insight equals mass media psychosis times corona squared? That is dangerous. Absolutely dangerous. Since I can no longer ask Albert, I'll ask Harald. Surely the physicist, climate researcher, political scientist and virologist Lesch has recently become an expert in geopolitics?
Enough of the irony. I hope that all the absolute proclaimers of truth will be absolved at some point. Do you agree with most of this column? I'm glad, because like everyone, I'm receptive to praise. Have you discovered weaknesses in my arguments and would have liked more relativization and shades of grey? Even better. That's exactly the point. I like to learn. You agree with me completely? Just don't do that. Because I'm a big fan of the theory of relativity.

Economic democrats hits the nail on the head.
There has never been a real democracy where the elected people call themselves representatives of the people and are responsible for the welfare of all. Where we are now is a process that has been going on for years. And we are not entirely innocent of the current situation. We never questioned or objected as long as the rouble was rolling.
It was foreseeable where this would end. Consideration, respect, love and honesty were never taught by the state school and education system as the basis for peaceful coexistence.

Anton. "We are the good guys." Yes, maybe once upon a time, peace movement for example. Warmongers are not the good guys. Who's going to take the rap when all these conscientious objectors drive us into war, who's going to shoot the Russians to death? The vegans, whose stomachs turn when they think of a cruelly killed soup chicken? My father, born in 1924, told me about wounded people trying to get their intestines back into their abdominal cavity and crying for their mother. He was 19 years old at the time. He himself screamed at night in his dreams until 1975, over and over again. Anton would probably like to simply delegate the killing to external experts, but that is probably not very realistic. He should be aware that if his wishes come true, in times of emancipation men and women will go to war indiscriminately and those who refuse to serve with weapons will drive the trucks unarmed, do ambulance duty and be just as much in mortal danger as everyone else. Then come the casualty lists. The battalion commanders write to the families, as they did 80 years ago with my three fallen uncles, to say that their sons and daughters gave their lives on the field of honor. And then Anton might not even remember who wanted it all. It's a shame that he got so lost.

I also find it interesting that you worked in geriatric care. On Thursday, I'm facing another day that I already know will end with me going home totally depressed and having a sleepless night. I'm going to visit my mother in the nursing home on Thursday. Apart from the conditions there, I have to take a test at the entrance and that's it. The other day I was barked at because the outside door opened automatically after I stood in front of it, you can't just come in here, you have to ring the bell. Wie relativ der Anspruch der Guten auf ihr Gutsein ist, sieht man schon in ihren Augen. Ich verstand früher nicht, wenn meine Mutter über jemand sagte, er oder sie habe keine „guten“ Augen. Die Sehschärfe war nicht gemeint. Schon als Kind fiel mir auf, dass ich manchen Menschen nicht in die Augen blicken wollte, wusste aber nicht warum, aber es war wohl so, dass ich das nicht sehen wollte, was ich instinktiv darin sah….Beim Schauen gibt es die beiden anerkannten Möglichkeiten:“Schau mir in die Augen Kleines!“ (übrigens gendergerechte Ansprache…) oder volkstümlich: “ Glotz nicht so!“ (alternativlos).
Mir fällt also seit langem auf, dass die „Guten“ durch die Bank so hässlich dreinblicken, keinen richtig ansehen, ich meine alle unsere „guten Politiker“ und will sie hier nicht alle beim Namen nennen. Wie erfreulich direkt, neugierig und humorvoll schaut dagegen z.B. Roger Köppel von der WELTWOCHE drein. Nehme ich dagegen die blicklosen ins Nirgendwo gesandten Blicke eines Herrn Scholz, dann wissen Sie schon, was ich meine. Und manche haben Augen, da denke ich mir, mit dem würde ich nicht an einem Tisch sitzen wollen oder die Straßenseite wechseln, wenn er mir leibhaftig begegnete. Die wirklich Guten beanspruchen nicht, die Guten zu sein, blicken aber freundlich in die Augen ihres Gegenübers. Alles relativ.

Es ist offenbar der Tag des absoluten „weiter so“. Nachdem mein armer Schwiegervater im Dezember im Klinikum sterben musste, ohne seine Tochter noch einmal sehen zu dürfen (sie ist weiterhin nicht „2G“) kam jetzt eine Einladung der Klinikseelsorge für die Hinterbliebenen zu einem seelsorgerischen Gedenk-und Trauer-Gottesdienst kommenden Donnerstag dort. Leider darf meine Frau auch dort nicht teilnehmen, weil auch beim Gottesdienst in der dortigen Trauerhalle was gilt? 2G-Plus.

Sagt Ihnen der Begriff „soziale Deprivation“ etwas, Herr Linsner?
Das ist Isolation, das ist das Berauben menschlicher Kontakte (deprivare gleich berauben). Gewisse Geheimdienste wenden das als Foltermethode an. Wenn Kinder über einen längeren Zeitraum isoliert werden, entwickeln sie schwere psychische Schäden für ihr späteres Leben. In jedem Lehrbuch über Altenpflege steht, wie wichtig es ist, soziale Deprivation bei alten Menschen zu verhindern. In jedem Psychrembel wird thematisiert, welche therapeutischen und pflegerischen Möglichkeiten es gibt, um soziale Deprivation zu verhindern. Ich wollte/musste vor fast drei Jahren beruflich umsatteln und in die Altenpflege gehen. Und dann habe ich gesehen, was die „staatlichen Maßnahmen“ mit den alten Menschen machen. Nicht Corona, sondern die Maßnahmen. Alte Menschen quälen und Ihnen dabei ins Gesicht sagen „Es ist nur zu Ihrem Besten“? Ich konnte nicht mehr.
Was immer schon Foltermethode war, was seit Jahrzehnten gerade bei den sogenannten Vulnerablen versucht wird zu verhindern, ist auf einmal ein moralisches Gebot und wird uns als „social distancing“ und 2G-Plus verkauft.

I hope there really is a kind and forgiving God. He would have a lot to forgive with your pastor. Poor ground staff in my eyes.

Herr Löcke, nachdem ich lese, dass Sie in der Alten-Pflege tätig waren, muss ich Ihnen auch noch etwas berichten. Gegenüber unserer Bank-Filiale befindet sich ein Altenheim der Diakonie. Wenn ich meine Kontoauszüge abholte, sah ich öfter auf dem Weg gegnüber eine hochbetagte kleine gebrechliche Dame, eine Bewohnerin des Heimes. Sie litt an einer Skelett-Erkrankung, in deren Folge ihr Oberkörper so nach vorne gebeugt war, dass sie beim Gehen mit dem Kopf fast in Bodennähe kam. Sie war immer sehr nett gekleidet. Dann kam Corona . Als ich sie wieder sah, dachte ich so über sie nach, wie sie wohl lebt, jetzt sehr einsam ist ,usw. Plötzlich ging mir durch den Kopf: Du könntest ihr doch einfach mal eine kleine Freude machen und ihr ein Blümchen vorbeibringen. Ich ging also zu unserem Gärtner, besorgte ein hübsches Pflänzchen und fuhr zum Heim. An der Tür waren etliche Schilder, aber ich hatte meine Brille nicht auf, es erschien mir auch nicht wichtig. Ich zog mir die Maske drüber und betrat das Gebäude. Doch da saß sie schon,irgendwie, die alte Dame, auf einer Bank im Flur in der Nähe des Eingangs. Ich ging zu ihr, grüßte sie und erzählte ihr, was Sie jetzt schon wissen. Sie verstand mich aber wegen der Maske nicht. Ich zog die Maske kurz runter und wiederholte mein Anliegen. Ein Leuchten ging über ihr Gesicht. Ich konnte ihr nun das Töpfchen nicht in die deformierten Hände drücken und fragte sie nach einer Schwester, Sie deutete auf eine Tür. Ich zog meine Maske wieder drüber und klopfte an. „Herein!“
Ich betrat den Raum. Darin saßen drei junge Pflegerinnen und starrten mich an. Eine sprang auf , kam auf mich zu und rief hoch erregt:“Sie dürfen hier nicht rein!“ Die beiden anderen waren auch ganz außer sich. „Was wollen Sie hier“? Ich umklammerte immer noch mein Töpfchen. „Wer sind Sie überhaupt?“ Ich sagte, das tue doch nichts zur Sache und sagte rasch, wer die Blumen bekommen sollte und dass die alte Dame ja draußen säße und man sie ihr vielleicht aufs Zimmer bringen könne. Eine riss mir den Topf aus der Hand und sie waren richtig böse, ob ich wohl nicht die Schilder an der Tür gelesen hätte(Tests, 2-G, der ganze Kram). Ich wünschte ihnen noch einen guten Tag, verließ den Raum, wünschte der alten Dame noch mal alles Gute und ging. Social Distaning!!! Ich sah sie danach noch einmal, dann ist sie wohl gestorben.

Many years ago, I had a stay in hospital with rehab and was away from home for 9 weeks. When I came home, it was chaos. My husband was lost in his country doctor's surgery, our son was about to start school and was completely lonely, as was our dog, who didn't want to know anything about me after I came home. There was a lot of unfinished mail and bills piling up on my desk. Including a reminder from the church tax office about a missed bank transfer. Direct, formal, rude and with all kinds of threats about the consequences if I didn't transfer the money immediately. Including 7 account details! I wrote to the responsible employee, complained about this treatment and complained that I had not been able to see a pastor for pastoral care in the past few weeks and that no one was looking after my family. I kept 100 DM from the amount to be transferred, as the church had not fulfilled its duties (pastoral care). He wrote me a three-page letter back about all sorts of misfortunes in his life and ended by saying that someone like us, who had to pay as much tax (state) as he earned gross, should be ashamed to talk about money. There was no alternative to me leaving the church immediately.

if everything is assessed in relative terms, you neither come to a realization nor to a point of view and existing or committed injustice is relativized away.

Hätte Einstein es bei einer Relativierung belassen, wäre er nicht auf den Kern gekommen, seine Suche nach der „Wahrheit“ wäre gescheitert, er nannte es ja auch Theorie. Eine Relativierung kann gut sein, in der Praxis aber meist kontraproduktiv, vor allem wenn es um eine entschlossene Haltung gegen Unrecht gehen muss.

Die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass die durch Sie vorgenommene Umdeutung der Einstein‘ schen R-Theorie am Ende – allein schon aus logischer Sicht – stimmt, ja gar alternativlos sein könnte, liegt zumindest nah.
‚Die Wissenschaft‘ sollte sich zunehmend den Mental-Amöben widmen.
