I was saved by God to make America great again

Thank you all, thank you very, very much. Vice President Vance, Speaker Johnson, Senator Thune, Chief Justice Roberts, Justices of the Supreme Court of the United States, President Clinton, President Bush, President Obama, President Biden, Vice President Harris, and my fellow citizens.

The golden age of America begins right now. From this day forward, our country will flourish again and be respected around the world. We will be the envy of all nations and we will no longer be taken advantage of.

Throughout Trump's term, I will simply put America first. Our sovereignty will be reclaimed, our security will be restored, the scales of justice will be rebalanced, the vicious, violent and unfair instrumentalization of the Department of Justice and our government will come to an end. And our top priority will be to create a nation that is proud, prosperous and free.

America will soon be bigger, stronger and more exceptional than ever before. I return to the presidency confident and optimistic that we are at the dawn of an exciting new era of national success. A wave of change is sweeping the country, sunlight is streaming across the world, and America has the chance to seize this opportunity like never before.

But first we have to be honest about the challenges we face. There are many of them, but they will be undone by this great momentum that the world is now experiencing in the United States of America. As we gather today, our government is facing a crisis of confidence.

For many years, a radical and corrupt establishment stripped our citizens of power and wealth while the pillars of our society were broken and seemingly in complete disrepair. We now have a government that cannot even handle a simple crisis at home while stumbling into an endless series of catastrophic events abroad. It is failing to protect our great, law-abiding American citizens, but is providing sanctuary and protection to dangerous criminals, many of whom are from prisons and mental institutions and have illegally entered our country from around the world.

We have a government that provides unlimited funding for foreign border defense but refuses to defend American borders or, more importantly, its own citizens. Our country is no longer able to provide basic services in emergencies, as recently demonstrated by the wonderful people of North Carolina who were so poorly treated and other states still suffering from a hurricane that occurred many months ago. Or, more recently, Los Angeles, where we watch as tragic fires still rage.

They have been rampaging through homes and communities for weeks without any sign of defense, even hitting some of the richest and most powerful people in our country, some of whom are sitting here right now. They no longer have a home. This is interesting.

But we can't let that happen. Everyone is incapable of doing anything about it. That will change.

We have a public health care system that doesn't work in times of disaster, even though more money is spent on it than any other country in the world. And we have an education system that teaches our children to be ashamed and in many cases to hate our country, despite the love we so desperately want to show them. All of this is going to change starting today, and very quickly.

My recent election is a mandate to fully and completely undo a terrible betrayal and all of these many betrayals that have taken place and give the people back their faith, their wealth, their democracy and indeed their freedom. From this moment on, the decline of America is over. Our freedoms and the glorious destiny of our nation will no longer be denied, and we will immediately restore the integrity, competence and loyalty of the American government.

Over the past eight years, I have been tested and challenged more than any other president in our 250-year history, and I have learned a lot along the way. The road to reclaiming our Republic has not been easy, I can tell you that. Those who would stop our cause have tried to take away my freedom and even my life.

Just a few months ago, an assassin's bullet pierced my ear in a beautiful field in Pennsylvania. But I felt then, and I feel it even more now, that my life was saved for a reason. I was saved by God to make America great again.

Thank you. That is why, under our government of American patriots, we will work every day to meet every crisis with dignity, vigor and strength. We will act decisively and swiftly to restore hope, prosperity, security and peace to citizens of every race, religion, color and creed.

For the American people, January 20, 2025 is Liberation Day. I hope that our recent presidential election will be remembered as the largest and most consequential election in our nation's history. As our victory has shown, the entire nation is rapidly uniting behind our agenda, with support growing dramatically from virtually every segment of our society, young and old, male and female, African American, Hispanic, Asian American, urban, suburban and rural.

And very importantly, we won a convincing victory in all seven swing states and won the votes of millions of people. To the black and Hispanic communities, I want to thank you for the tremendous outpouring of love and trust you gave me with your vote. We set records, and I will not forget that.

I heard your voices in the campaign and I look forward to working with you in the years ahead. Today is Martin Luther King Day, and his honor - this will be a great honor - but in his honor, we will work together to make his dream a reality. We will make his dream come true.

Our nation, our national unity, is now returning to America, and confidence and pride are rising as never before. In all that we do, my administration will be guided by a strong pursuit of excellence and relentless success. We will not forget our country, we will not forget our Constitution, and we will not forget our God.

We cannot do that. Today, I will sign a series of historic executive orders. With these measures, we will begin the full restoration of America and the common sense revolution.

It's all about common sense. First, I will declare a national emergency on our southern border. All illegal entry will be stopped immediately and we will begin returning millions upon millions of criminal aliens to the places they came from.

We will reinstate my "Remain in Mexico" policy. I will end the practice of "catch and release" and send troops to the southern border to repel the catastrophic invasion of our country. Under the orders I signed today, we will also classify the cartels as foreign terrorist organizations.

And by invoking the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, I will direct our government to utilize the full and immense power of federal and state law enforcement agencies to eliminate the presence of all alien gangs and criminal networks that bring devastating crime to U.S. soil, including our cities and inner cities. As Commander in Chief, I have no higher responsibility than to protect our country from threats and invasions, and that is exactly what I will do. We will do so at a level no one has ever seen before.

Next, I will instruct all members of my Cabinet to use the enormous powers at their disposal to beat record inflation and bring costs and prices down quickly. The inflation crisis has been caused by massive overspending and rising energy prices, and so today I will also declare a national energy emergency. We're going to drill, baby, drill.

America will be an industrialized nation again, and we have something that no other industrialized nation will ever have. We have the largest oil and gas reserves of any country in the world, and we're going to use them. We will use them.

We will lower prices, replenish our strategic reserves to the limit and export American energy around the world. We will be a wealthy nation again, and it's the liquid gold under our feet that will help us get there. With my actions today, we will end the Green New Deal and repeal the electric vehicle mandate, saving our auto industry and keeping my sacred promise to our great American auto workers.

In other words, you will be able to buy the car of your choice. We will build cars in America again, at a pace that no one would have thought possible just a few years ago. And I thank our nation's auto workers for their inspiring vote of confidence.

We have done great things with their vote. I will begin immediately to overhaul our trade system to protect American workers and families. Instead of taxing our citizens to enrich other countries, we will impose tariffs and taxes on foreign countries to enrich our citizens.

To this end, we are setting up the Foreign Tax Authority, which will collect all customs duties, taxes and revenues. Huge amounts of money will flow into our treasury from foreign sources. The American dream will soon return and prosper like never before.

To restore the competence and effectiveness of our federal government, my administration will establish the brand new Department of Government Efficiency. After years of illegal and unconstitutional efforts by the federal government to restrict free speech, I will also sign an executive order to immediately stop government censorship and restore free speech in America. Never again will the immense power of the state be abused to persecute political opponents.

I understand something about that. We will not allow this to happen. It won't happen again.

Under my leadership, we will restore a fair, equal and impartial judiciary within the constitutional rule of law. And we will bring law and order back to our cities. This week, I will also end government policies that seek to force race and gender into every aspect of public and private life.

We will create a society that is colorblind and meritocratic. Starting today, it will be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female. This week, I will reinstate with full back pay all military personnel who were wrongfully expelled from our military for speaking out against mandatory COVID vaccinations.

And I will sign an order to prevent our soldiers from being exposed to radical political theories and social experiments while on duty. That will end immediately. Our armed forces will be able to refocus on their sole mission, which is to defeat America's enemies.

As in 2017, we will once again build the strongest military the world has ever seen. We will measure our success not only by the battles we win, but also by the wars we end, and perhaps most importantly, the wars we never get involved in. My proudest legacy will be that of a peacemaker and unifier.

That is what I want to be: a peacemaker and a unifier. I am pleased to say that since yesterday, the day before I took office, the hostages in the Middle East have returned to their families. Thank you.

America will reclaim its rightful place as the greatest, most powerful and most respected nation on earth and will leave the entire world in awe and admiration. Before long, we will change the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America and restore Mount McKinley to the name of a great president, William McKinley, where it belongs and should be. President McKinley made our country very rich through tariffs and through talent.

He was a born businessman and gave Teddy Roosevelt the money for many of his great deeds, including the Panama Canal, which was foolishly given to the country of Panama after the United States - the United States - I mean, imagine that - spent more money than ever on a project and lost 38,000 people building the Panama Canal. We were treated very badly by this stupid gift that should never have been given. And Panama's promise to us was broken.

The purpose of our agreement and the spirit of our treaty have been completely disregarded. American ships are grossly overpriced and not treated fairly in any way. And that goes for the United States Navy as well.

And above all, China runs the Panama Canal, and we didn't give it to China. We gave it to Panama, and we're taking it back. Above all, my message to Americans today is that it's time for us to act again with the courage, strength and vitality of the greatest civilization in history.

So as we liberate our nation, we will lead it to new heights of victory and success. We will not be deterred. Together, we will end the chronic disease epidemic and ensure that our children are safe, healthy and free from disease.

The United States will once again see itself as a growing nation, increasing its prosperity, expanding its territory, expanding its cities, raising its expectations, and carrying its flag to new and beautiful horizons. And we will pursue our manifest destiny to the stars and launch American astronauts to raise the Stars and Stripes on the planet Mars. Ambition is the lifeblood of a great nation, and right now our nation is more ambitious than any other.

There is no nation like our nation. Americans are explorers, builders, innovators, entrepreneurs and pioneers. The pioneering spirit is written into our hearts.

The call of the next great adventure echoes in our souls. Our American ancestors transformed a small group of colonies on the edge of a vast continent into a mighty republic with the most extraordinary citizens in the world. No one comes close.

Americans have traveled thousands of miles across a rugged land of untamed wilderness. They crossed deserts, climbed mountains, braved countless dangers, conquered the Wild West, ended slavery, saved millions from tyranny, lifted billions out of poverty, harnessed electricity, split the atom, took mankind to heaven, and placed the universe of human knowledge in the hands of man. If we work together, there is nothing we cannot do and no dream we cannot realize.

Many people thought it was impossible that I would make such a historic political comeback. But as you can see today, I am here. The American people have spoken.

I stand before you now as proof that you should never believe that something cannot be done. In America, the impossible is what we do best. From New York to Los Angeles, from Philadelphia to Phoenix, from Chicago to Miami, from Houston to here in Washington, D.C., our country was forged and built by generations of patriots who gave their all for our rights and our freedom.

They were farmers and soldiers, cowboys and factory workers, steelworkers and miners, policemen and pioneers, pushing forward, forging ahead, never letting any obstacle break their spirit or their pride. Together they laid the rails, erected skyscrapers, built great highways, won two world wars, defeated fascism and communism, and triumphed over every single challenge they faced. After all we have been through together, we are now on the cusp of the four greatest years in America's history.

With your help, we will renew America's promise and rebuild the nation we love so dearly. We are one people, one family, and one glorious nation under God. So to all parents who dream for their children, and to all children who dream for their future, I am with you, I will fight for you, and I will win for you.

We will win like never before. Thank you, thank you, thank you. In recent years, our nation has suffered greatly, but we will bring it back and make it great again, greater than ever before.

We will be a nation like no other, full of compassion, courage and exceptionalism. Our power will end all wars and bring a new spirit of unity to a world that has been angry, violent and completely unpredictable. America will be respected and admired again, even by people who are religious, devout and benevolent.

We will be prosperous, we will be proud, we will be strong and we will win like never before. We will not be subjugated, we will not be intimidated, we will not be broken, and we will not fail. From this day forward, the United States of America will be a free, sovereign, and independent nation.

We will stand bravely, we will live proudly, we will dream boldly, and nothing will stand in our way, because we are Americans, the future is ours, and our golden age has just begun. Thank you. God bless America.
