Sarrazin: Freedom of opinion on the brink!

by Adrian von Ferenzcy //

In an exclusive interview in the "Club of Clear Words", Dr. Thilo Sarrazin criticizes the state of freedom of opinion in Germany and the way the Office for the Protection of the Constitution deals with political views.

He emphasizes that freedom of expression is worse than it was 15 years ago and that social discourse is being increasingly restricted.

"People don't understand what an opinion is," says Sarrazin. One example for him is the 2023 report on the protection of the constitution, in which someone who adheres to an ethnic concept of the people is described as right-wing extremist. Sarrazin sees this as a dangerous development: "Even if someone has an extreme right-wing attitude, this is not punishable. Only actions are."

Sarrazin emphasizes that these developments could lead to Germany increasingly going down a "slippery slope", as opinions that do not correspond to the social consensus are censored.

" ... this difference between an opinion, no matter how immoral and no matter how crazy, and a criminal act, this difference must be taken into account, because I cannot censor people because of their opinions. Then you quickly end up on an extremely slippery slope."

"Once you start doing that, there is no natural limit. Then we no longer have anything that distinguishes us from authoritarian systems."

In his new book "Germany on the wrong track" he addresses these issues and warns that a society that does not discuss all options could end up making the wrong decisions.

In the interview, he reignites the asylum debate:

Anyone who comes to us and says the word asylum at the border is allowed to enter. (...) When people come to us and are accepted into our welfare state, even though they come from a completely different culture and have a different education and a different background, perhaps also a different faith that doesn't fit culturally and different ideas about the role of women, etc., this creates tensions in our system that endanger Germany's culture and society in the long term. Quite apart from the fact that we are also becoming more and more ethnically alien to each other."

Sarrazin speaks remarkably plainly on the issues that move Germany. You can see the open and blunt exchange, which has not been seen in the media for a long time exclusively in a 100-minute interview.

  1. What freedom of expression?
A Pekingese-respecting chancellor's government dominated by the USA cannot allow a free opinion, that would be disastrous in a normal state.
Since 80% of our state is made up of German militias, that would not be a danger for the uneducated, left-wing fascist road sign government either

  2. the fascist and anti-democrat Faeser only fulfills the plan of the USA to destroy Germany because it is no longer needed since the "reunification" and the USA, the Evil Country, can now march to the Polish border to implement the plan to destroy Russia because they want to get to the raw materials of the country.

  3. The decisive factor for me is the statements:
    1. an opinion is not punishable, at most the intention to commit crimes based on an opinion. This should definitely be made clear to Nancy Faeser so that she can get her panic attacks under control before she wants to ban opinions and magazines. And so that Attorney Steinhöeffel does not have to file a complaint under Article 5 of the Basic Law again, so that the Federal Court of Justice does not have to repeat the finding of 2010 on 11.04.24, namely that the state has no protection of honor and that the limit to the expression of opinion is only crossed when it can be proven that slander or slander is being used.
2: That it is due to the lack of will on the part of politicians to make themselves smart in the matter that incompetence is spreading so unthinkably far, which is fueled by § 146 GVG (public prosecutors bound by instructions), because even if there is suspicion of serious white-collar crime, investigations are closed very quickly, e.g. those against Philipp Amthor and von Gutenberg because of the dubious machinations with the startup Augustus Intelligence, which was at the center of a Berlin lobbying affair. The dubious dealings with the startup Augustus Intelligence, which was at the center of a Berlin lobbying affair, or the "forgetful" chancellor or... My wish here would be for the names and results to be processed and published, including those of the judges and public prosecutors who have to publicly justify their judgments, decisions or omissions (!!!).
    3. that "real" decision-makers are needed again, politicians with rough edges, i.e. integrity and courage, but with a down-to-earth attitude and a feel for reality. Unfortunately, courage and integrity are nowadays often either punished, constricted or stereotyped. My hope is that countless "Gallic villages" will form, which together will defy the subtleties and continue to brew the "magic potion" of pragmatic reason ...

    1. The fascist Faeser cannot be made to understand anything because she is stupidly ideologized and is only implementing the US plan to make Germany ungovernable so that Evil Country can play its occupation status card.

Welcome to this platform for the cultivated exchange of arguments.

We have forgotten how to endure contradiction. It is okay to disagree here. I would ask you to remain respectful and polite. Insults and hate comments will be removed in future, as will calls to vote for political parties. I reserve the right to delete insulting or derogatory comments. This public forum and its inherent opportunity to exchange arguments and opinions is an attempt to uphold freedom of expression - including freedom of dissent. I would like to see the old-fashioned virtue of respect cultivated here.
