Trump speech after attack in Iran

Here is the full translated transcript of his speech on Saturday evening:

"Recently, the US military carried out massive precision strikes against the Iranian regime's three main nuclear facilities: Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan.

Everyone has heard these names for years as they built this terribly destructive enterprise. Our goal was to destroy Iran's uranium enrichment capabilities and end the nuclear threat from the world's largest state sponsor of terrorism.

Tonight I can report to the world that the attacks were a spectacular military success. The most important Iranian uranium enrichment facilities were completely destroyed. The tyrant of the Middle East, Iran, must now make peace.

If he does not do this, future attacks will be far greater and much easier.

For 40 years, Iran has been shouting: "Death to America, death to Israel".
They killed our people, tore off their arms and legs with roadside bombs - that was their specialty.

We have lost over a thousand people, and hundreds of thousands across the Middle East and around the world have died as a direct result of their hatred, especially so many killed by their General Qassem Soleimani.
I decided a long time ago that I wasn't going to let that happen.
This will not continue.
I would like to thank and congratulate Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu.

We have worked together as a team like perhaps no team before, and we have come a long way to eliminate this terrible threat to Israel.
I want to thank the Israeli military for their great work and especially congratulate the great American patriots who flew these impressive aircraft tonight and the entire United States military for an operation the likes of which the world has not seen in many, many decades.

Hopefully we will no longer need their services in this form. I hope that will be the case. I would also like to congratulate the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan "Razin" Caine - a spectacular general - and all the brilliant military personnel involved in this attack.
After all this, things can't go on like this.

Either there will be peace or there will be a tragedy for Iran that will be far greater than what we have seen in the last eight days.
Remember, there are still many targets left. Today's was by far the most difficult and perhaps the deadliest, but if peace does not come quickly, we will go after these other targets with precision, speed and skill. Most of them can be taken out within a few minutes.
There is no army in the world that could have even come close to doing what we have done tonight. There has never been an army that could have done what happened recently.

Tomorrow, General Caine, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, will hold a press conference at 8 a.m. (12:00 GMT) at the Pentagon, and I want to thank everyone, especially God.
I just want to say, "We love you, God, and we love our great military. Protect them." God bless the Middle East. God bless Israel and God bless America.
Thank you very much. Thank you."

  1. Has the Bundesfritz already thanked the POTUS, Donald J. Bomb, for his dirty work? Oh well, that was just a small sample. Coming soon to your movie theater: "Trumpzilla - the apocalypse is coming." Special thanks to Peter Thiel.

  2. It is frightening how God is being dragged into the attack and the killing and abused by Trump.
And... peace can only come about through peace and not through violence.....erschreckend.... Georg Orwell sends his regards

Welcome to this platform for the cultivated exchange of arguments.

We have forgotten how to endure contradiction. It is okay to disagree here. I would ask you to remain respectful and polite. Insults and hate comments will be removed in future, as will calls to vote for political parties. I reserve the right to delete insulting or derogatory comments. This public forum and its inherent opportunity to exchange arguments and opinions is an attempt to uphold freedom of expression - including freedom of dissent. I would like to see the old-fashioned virtue of respect cultivated here.
